SweetSpot represents VFX and AI studios that support agencies and production companies delivering advertising work. We are typically brought in when projects need extra capacity, specialist expertise, or AI-driven workflows that still meet broadcast-grade expectations. Our role is to ensure the right external teams integrate cleanly into the existing production setup, from brief and bidding through to delivery.

When AI makes sense in advertising production

AI can be highly effective for concept development, look exploration, rapid iteration, background generation, compositing, stylised imagery and certain types of performance work. It is less suitable when projects require precise client control, heavy brand governance, or complex legal approvals. We help producers and creatives assess where AI is genuinely useful and where traditional VFX remains the stronger choice.

How SweetSpot supports productions

We work as an extension of the production team. That includes recommending the right studios for the brief, supporting bid comparisons, pressure-testing approaches, and staying involved creatively and operationally throughout the process. This model gives producers access to senior, specialist teams without losing control of quality, schedule or communication.

Typical use cases

Hybrid live-action + AI commercial campaigns
High-end CG and VFX for product films
Social-first advertising assets at scale
AI-assisted visual development for pitches
Complex post-production requiring niche specialists
International campaigns needing reliable external teams

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between AI production and traditional VFX?
AI is one tool within a wider production pipeline. It can accelerate certain tasks and reduce cost in some contexts, but it does not replace experienced supervision, craft or production structure.

Do you replace production companies or post houses?
No. SweetSpot supports existing teams. We are typically brought in by producers who want access to trusted external studios without the risk of cold sourcing.

Can studios work under NDA or white-label?
Yes. Most of the teams we represent regularly work under NDA and integrate into client-facing pipelines when required.

Is this only for advertising?
Advertising is our core focus, but we also support projects in content, games and long-form when the brief and team are a good fit.

How early should you be involved?

Ideally at brief or treatment stage. Earlier involvement leads to better scoping, stronger creative options and fewer surprises later. You can read more about how we work here.
