Do you represent studios with experience in specific categories?
Yes. Absolutely. A core idea with SweetSpot is to curate a talent roster that is very niched and specialised. While there is always overlap, and many studios "can do it all", we rep talent that specialize in (deep breath)... Automotive, Footwear, Watches, Beauty, Games, Creature FX, Motion design, Concert visuals, Immersive productions, OOH, Gen AI & Hybrid work, Traditional character keyframe animation, Mixed Media, FX simulations, Food & Bev, Creative Direction & Concept Development, Infographics & Explainers, Hidden FX, Set Extensions, CleanUp & Roto - and more! On top of that we've partnered with awarded grading studios, flame artists, sound studios, directors, composers, storyboard artists, production companies.. Our network built over three decade reaches far. Working with a specialised studio makes a significant difference to final quality.
How early should you contact SweetSpot?
The earlier the better. We love to bounce ideas and find the smartest solutions and approaches for each project. Earlier involvement leads to better scoping, stronger creative options, optimized costs, and fewer surprises later. Jumping right into a project where every aspect of the creative is locked is of course also something we do a lot - and it's probably the most common. But ideally - contact us early!
Can studios work under NDA or white-label?
Yes. All studios and freelancers on the SweetSpot roster are under NDA, as part of our representation agreement. Both sweetSpot and its talent regualrly sign additional NDA's when projects require so. We always ensure to follow rigorous security precautions to protect your IPs and campaigns. Some studios and freelancers are open to white-label work, but it varies from case to case, so: ask! The roster has their own set ups and pipelines, but are acustomed to integrating directly into client-facing pipelines and external hiring VFX vendors, when required.
How do you work with VFX & AI in advertising?
The studios and freelancers we rep are seasoned specialitsts in their different fields, and have all supported agencies and production companies delivering advertising work for a long, long time. Part of working as an artist in this business is staying on top of emerging tech, and AI is definitely no exception - in many ways it's disruptive tech incluencing every aspect of post. While we are AI positive, our prime objective to deliver the highest craft, still stands. AI-driven workflows must still meet broadcast-grade expectations, so we're pragmatic about how we use it. First and foremost it must make sense to use, and be help - we don't ever use AI simple "just because". Read more about our AI views here.
What is the difference between AI production and traditional VFX?
AI is a tool within a wider production pipeline. It can accelerate certain tasks and reduce cost in some contexts, but it does not replace experienced supervision, craft or production structure. Read more about our AI views here.

Is fully CG cheaper than filming products?

Do you have VFX Supervisors, when is it needed, and at what stage of production do you step in?
We have many very talented VFX Supervisors on the roster and in out network - many have supervised major blockbusters, in the studio as well as on set. Having a great VFX Supervisor on the team ensures your visual effects are seamlessly planned and executed without inflating your timeline or budget. The Sup provides guidance through every stage, from breaking down scripts during pre-production to managing technical execution on set and overseeing final delivery in post. By collaborating directly with the director, DP, and production team, the Sup helps prevent technical errors during shooting that lead to costly fixes later.
Whether you are dealing with complex CGI, subtle cleanups, or integrating virtual production, a VFX Supervisor engaged through SweetSpot jumps in early to ensure the creative vision is fully realized as efficiently as possible. Typically, any time there's a shoot involved in a job we're working on we will strongly recommend we send one of our VFX Supervisor to the set, and we tend to only supervise productions where we are also involved in creating the VFX during post.
